Welcome to Ave’l Skincare
I founded Ave’l after having my first baby in Anchorage, AK. I was self concious from all of the stretch marks, ‘Linea Nigra’, acne, thinning hair, dry flaky but somehow still oily skin that I could barely look in the mirror by the end of my third trimester. I hated what I saw and it pushed my self esteem lower and lower. I couldnt find anything that worked, everything I tried either made my acne worse or had no effect at all which was infuriating. The list of ingredients i couldnt use in my skincare routine grew longer and longer and I just grew more tired of it all.
My confidence diminished after giving birth to my son Carter, he was absolutly precious, but my drive to fix the way I looked was sickening. I became obsessed with how I looked and hated myself even if my husband told me over and over that I was still beautiful. I just couldnt see it. I was searching for instant beauty in a bottle, which doesnt exist.
I founded Ave’l, which means Friendship, to not only give women a skincare routine they could trust to protect them and their families, but to create a place for me and many others to share their stories and experiences with self love. I invisioned a community where uplifting others, being imperfect, and being proud of yourself everyday was normal and celebrated.
